London South Bank University (GenderNet) Hosts Discussion on Issues Faced by Men and Boys

The gender equality network at London South Bank University (GenderNet) will host its first ever International Men’s Day event on Friday 17th November 2017 in Keyworth Building, Keyworth Street, London, from 09:30 am to 14:30 pm. Our theme this year is ‘Making a Difference for Men and Boys’ and we are so proud to be able to help raise awareness of some of the issues and concerns faced by men and boys in the UK.

Our event will include discussions regarding:

  • masculinity and sensitive male health
  • high male suicide rates and domestic abuse
  • masculinity from the perspective of boys and young men.

We are also taking part in a University wide Movember Challenge.
