AN EVENT will celebrate ‘being a man’ next month, and organisers hope that people from Stroud will join them to celebrate.
Senan Clifford, the organiser of men’s day discussed his hopes for Stroud’s event.
“It aims to promote positive male role models and to celebrate the contribution that men make in society, industry and the home.
“The day also focuses our attention on some of the serious problems men face such as high suicide rates, depression, and loneliness.”
In response to this, people from Stroud will meet at the Subscription Rooms Forecourt in George Street between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, November 17.
This will provide an opportunity to ‘celebrate the diversity of men and boys’ whilst looking at issues such as ‘toxic masculinity’.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy singers, music, story-telling and stand-up, as well as crafts, kids’ activities, books and more.
