UK and Welsh experts have been invited to speak at “Dying in Silence” at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay (Friday 17th November, at 6.00pm, Tŷ Hywel, Conference Rooms C&D) chaired by Neil McEvoy AM (South Wales Central). The event is open to the public and free, but booking is essential.
Chair, Neil McEvoy AM said “I’m launching this International Men’s Day event in Wales to highlight the issue of male suicide. My concern is that men are literally dying in silence, because it is not something we talk about. We are changing this on the 17th November.”
Sharing their personal experiences and putting forward ideas how to improve the situation in Wales will be:
Erin Pizzey, lifelong campaigner against domestic abuse; Wynford Ellis Owen, founder of community based recovery centre The Living Room; Nicola Abraham, Director The Jacob Abraham Foundation, tackling suicide. Interested groups and organisations will also be invited. Details may be subject to change.
PLEASE BOOK BY Wednesday November 15th: Event: Dying in Silence, November 17th, 6.00pm refreshments for 6.30pm start, Tŷ Hywel, Conference Rooms C&D, Cardiff Bay. Attendees should allow ten minutes for security check-in.
