From Andrew Farrell:
This assembly is suitable for KS3/4 and is intended to be interactive. It can be used to mark International Men’s Day, or as an assembly that focuses on the needs of boys and men. The statistics come from the Men and Boys Coalition.
I have included an introductory exercise that I thought was important when delivering this topic. I want to ensure that the audience focuses on issues that relate to boys and men and not, as is so often becomes the case, default to a tit-for-tat debate. The topics covered are not comprehensive, but I have left out subjects that may be contentious, inappropriate for an assembly, or upsetting for students.
There is also a short ppt that could be used as a follow-up activity.
