A day of information, comedy and music is set to celebrate International Men’s Day in Northampton on Friday 22 November. Every year Northampton celebrates International Men’s Day and is led by the council.
Celebrations begin at The Guildhall between 4pm and 6pm, where health organisations and support agencies will be joined by local producers at a market stall styled event. As well as providing information and advise to visitors, the event will also give people a chance to pick up a variety of local produce such as beer, cider and snacks.
At 5.30pm the Mayor of Northampton will take to the stage to announce the winner of this year’s Male Role Model of the Year Award. Make your nominations.
Then at 7pm, The Charles Bradlaugh pub will host a music and comedy fundraiser in aid of The Grey Dog Trust, a national charity providing mental health support to young people and schools.
Local bands will provide a musical opening to the evening and the Comedy Crate will follow at 8pm to offer numerous laughs out loud. The music headliners of the night will take to the stage at 9.30pm allowing attendees to dance the night away until the close of the event at 11pm.
Advance tickets for the comedy and music evening can be purchased for £7 each on Eventbrite.
A limited number of tickets will be available on the door at £10 per ticket.
