SUMMARY:Transforming Modern Masculinity event with Rugby Stars
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn light of International Men’s Day\, join us for a fascinating conversation with stars from the world of rugby who are united in helping men to transform their outlook and improve their performance. \nThey will share their own personal stories of transformation and how they are helping men across the business world and at all stages of their careers to say goodbye to the old ways of masculinity and embrace a new approach of confidence\, authenticity and energy. \nWe’ll explore what this new masculinity looks like and how to use it to thrive in everything you do as a business leader\, work colleague\, partner\, parent and friend. \nOur panel: \nCraig White \nCraig is a men’s transformational coach for individuals and teams\, helping them to be the leaders they want to be. He’s worked with the Wales and Ireland rugby teams\, the British Lions\, and more recently the emerging teams of Uruguay and Chile. As well as his personal coaching he set up Men Without Masks to bring men together through nature to learn from each other\, to grow and find purpose. \nRhys Thomas \nRhys is a former Wales rugby union international who suffered a career-ending heart attack at the age of 29 which led to struggles with his mental as well as physical health and dependency on alcohol. He uses his personal story to inspire positive change in others and break the stigma around male mental and has become a breathwork practitioner to help corporate teams find alternative ways to promote wellbeing. \nDonnie Macfadyen \nDonnie is a former Scotland rugby union international who won over 100 caps for Glasgow Warriors and retired at the age of 28 through injury. As he transitioned out of professional sport Donnie encountered challenges around his identity as a man and what the future might hold. He also uses his own experiences to encourage other men to ask for help if they are struggling. \nPlaces are FREE to book so register today. \nA link to the recording will be emailed after the session to everyone who registers. \nThe host for the discussion is Jane Robertson\, Director of Communications for wellbeing streaming service provider Frog Systems.

SUMMARY:Monthly Mindfulness Group for Men
DESCRIPTION:The Mindfulness Group for Men (MGM) is a free monthly online session open to both men who are completely new to mindfulness and to those with experience. All our sessions are guided by qualified and experienced volunteer teachers. \nWe meet once a month and alternate between the third Saturday of the month (11am to 12pm\, UK time) and the third Tuesday of the month (6pm to 7pm\, UK Time). \nYes\, men meditate too! \nStatistically\, more women practice mindfulness than men\, showing that we seem to be less drawn to the world of mindfulness. But regular practice may bring many benefits – help you live in the now\, relieve stress\, lower blood pressure\, become less reactive and support a calmer disposition. \nThe MGM was set up in January 2021 with the intention of creating a welcoming place for men to begin their mindfulness journey and /or deepen their practice. Our ambition is to attract more men into the practice of this millennial wholesome tradition. \nOur freely-offered events are part of an initiative called the Mindfulness Network Community Friends. As a charity we want to continue to provide opportunities for mindfulness practice to all. If you would like to make a donation\, no matter how small\, can do so here: https://home.mindfulness-network.org/donate/ \n  \nPlease find below the zoom link you will need to access each practice (it’s different for every meeting):
