SUMMARY:Heart and Soul on International Men's Day
DESCRIPTION:Join us on International Men’s Day\, for a free lunch\, good company\, and an interesting\, inspiring speaker. \nYou will have noticed there’s growing awareness of how challenging it can be for the majority of men to access health help when they need it. This is true of physical health and mental health. \nSo\, we thought\, let’s take a moment to celebrate being men in the modern world\, and let’s hear from those men who are there for other men\, just when they need it\, and glean from them whatever we can that might benefit us\, too. \nOR. . . simply take the time to take your foot off the gas for 40 minutes! \nI look forward to meeting you\, and thank you for your support.

SUMMARY:Uncommon Man - International Men's Day Hike!
DESCRIPTION:Uncommon Man celebrates International Men’s Day 2025 \nOn Sunday 16th November we’ll be heading to the beautiful Chess Valley\, just a short train journey outside of London for a hike\, some group shares and an opportunity to connect with other men. \nA day to get outdoors\, move our bodies\, and connect with good people. This isn’t about how fast you can go or how fit you are\, it’s about taking time out\, breathing in fresh air\, and walking side by side with other men who get it. \nExpect good conversation\, great views\, and a reminder that none of us are walking this path alone. \nWe’ll be raising money this year for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) a suicide prevention charity that Josh is an ambassador for. All donations will go direct to CALM so please give what you can. \nDetails for on the day: \n\nPlease make your way to Rickmansworth station for 10.30am (post code WD3 1QY)\nThe route is 10 miles (16km) so a good challenge but we will be taking it at a steady pace. It will be cross country and could be muddy\, so make sure you wear suitable footwear!\nRickmansworth station is served by the London Underground Metropolitan Line and you can also reach it on the Chiltern Railways overground line from London Marylebone.\nThere are multiple car parks in and around the station for those that are driving.\nPrepare for all weather\, pack water and snacks!\n\n— \nUnsure what Uncommon Man is? In our regular sessions held in London\, Josh\, Rob and Mark have created a safe space for men to explore themselves and connect with others through coaching exercises\, group work and breathwork. Check out our website here and our socials here \nPlease note: It makes no difference if you haven’t attended the other sessions\, we welcome both returning and new faces! \nThe great outdoors not for you? SUMMARY:Fathers and mental health focus group
DESCRIPTION:Are you a dad with children aged under-5? Have you faced mental health problems? We’d love to hear your thoughts on health visiting services\n\n\n\nThe Fatherhood Institute is running this event with researchers at Thomas Coram Research Unit (part of London University). \nWe are looking into how health visiting services can support families with young children who are facing challenges – including when parents experience mental health issues\, domestic violence\, alcohol or substance use\, or other difficulties. \nThe researchers have been talking to health visitors and parents in different parts of the country about their experiences. Now they want YOUR view\, so they can better understand how health visiting can help dads facing difficulties. \nIf you’re a dad in England who has experience of mental health challenges while parenting a child under 5\, or supporting your co-parent through mental health challenges\, then please consider getting involved. \nWhat better way to mark International Men’s Day 2025 than to help our vital public services provide support to men on their journeys through early fatherhood? \n\n\n\n\nBook your ticket here on Eventbrite and we will then send you more information about the focus group\, and a link to the online Teams event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fathers-and-mental-health-focus-group-tickets-1857130731009?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl
