Schools, Colleges and Universities to mark International Men’s Day

A number of schools and colleges have been in touch over the past two months stating they are marking International Men’s Day based on:

  • giving boys and girls the chance to celebrate the contribution men and boys make
  • for boys to feel freer and more comfortable to seek help and for others to help them seek that help
  • to make boys more confident about themselves and their futures

All good stuff and to be commended.

Those schools, colleges and universities that have indicated they are taking part are:

  •  Parrs Wood High School, Manchester
  • Tendring Technology College, Frinton-on-sea, Essex
  • New College, Swindon
  • Leeds Beckett University
  • York St. John University
  • Winchester Science Centre
  • University of York

It is also helped by many education support groups mentioning International Men’s Day as part of their educational calendar:
