Football & Mental Health: Building resilience on and off the pitch

November 18 @ 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm
£29.50

In collaboration with Fulham FC Foundation,  Lighthouse Relief is holding an exciting event to showcase the power of football in strengthening men’s mental health and resilience, particularly for young men from refugee backgrounds.

“Football & Mental Health: Building resilience on and off the pitch” will highlight the mental health challenges of playing the game at the highest level, and also celebrate the transformative work of three organisations which use football to change young peoples’ lives: Lighthouse Relief, Fulham FC Foundation, and Street Child United.

Our keynote speaker is Steven Caulker, a professional footballer, with a club career spanning the English Premier League (Spurs and Liverpool) to the Spanish third division and the Icelandic league. He has also represented England and Sierra Leone, and played 5 times for Team GB in the 2012 London Olympics. Off the pitch, Steven is an advocate for men’s mental health, and he will talk candidly about his struggles with gambling, alcohol and depression.

Tickets are available from the Lighthouse Relief website: www.lighthouserelief.org priced at £29.50 (£25 for Early Birds!)
