International Men’s Day celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. It highlights positive role models and raises awareness of men’s wellbeing.

Our next LEAP event will celebrate International Men’s Day. The 2020 theme is “Making a difference for men and boys.”

Male allies play a vital part in creating and developing a truly inclusive workplace and society, but even those who put diversity and inclusion at the centre of their personal and professional lives have to stay aware, reflective and ready to challenge unconscious bias. The event will explore how we can help each other, listen to both female and male voices to inspire diversity and inclusion, a topic which is so high on business and personal agendas.

We will be joined by:

• Suzi Woolfson, our PwC partner sponsor for the LEAP programme.
• Laks Mann, a Metropolitan Police Officer and a Met LGBT+ Network Executive Committee Member, specialising in Intersectionality and Community Engagement. Laks is listed in the UK’s Top 30 BAME Leaders of 2020.
• Jo Salter, PwC Director and a member of the PwC Staff Diversity Council. Jo was Britain’s first female fast-jet pilot flying the Tornado GR1.
• Chris Keogh, PwC Relationship Manager and Board Member for Spinal Injuries Association. He is an active campaigner for the inclusivity of wheelchair users in society.
