University of Kent – Tackling Gender Equality

19th November 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

In 2018 the Athena SWAN team used the occasion of International Men’s Day to capture the views of our male colleagues on gender equality in the workplace.

This International Men’s Day, we would like to have a conversation about the key themes arising the survey:

Does it feel that gender equality initiatives are targetted only at women?

– Is there a macho culture that prevents an inclusive one?

– What is it like being a working Dad?

There will be an audience and panel discussion chaired by Professor Farzin Deravi. Our panellists are:

– Martin Michaelis

– George Baker

– Jake Bicknell

– James Kloda

Teas, coffees and afternoon treats will be served in the foyer at 2.30pm, panel discussion from 3pm-4pm

Everybody is welcome!
