Thank you for a great International Men’s Day 2025!
On behalf of everyone at the Association of Male Health and Wellbeing (who run the International Men’s Day platform) we would like to thank everyone who took part in #InternationalMensDay / International Men’s Day in 2025. It was the best ever!.
There are still lots number of talks and events this week too.
- At least 700-800 organisations were involved (it was so hard to keep up) with events, talks, lectures, plays and positive messages about the contribution their male employees make – and so many schools and colleges talking about male role models. We have lots more to add to this list!
- 90/100k tweets and huge presence on LinkedIn
- The 10th anniversary of the first International Men’s Day saw the best-ever and the most wide-ranging debate in the House of Commons – thank you to MP, Josh Newberry. It was also the first-ever time that a Secretary of State (Wes Streeting MP) had replied to the debate.
- For the first-ever time, the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer MP, held a reception at the 10 Downing Street for International Men’s Day, acknowledged the importance of International Men’s Day in Prime Minister’s Questions and marked it by writing a letter to his son.
- Landmark policy announcements especially the first-ever Men’s Health Strategy for England announced by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, the Greater London Assembly’s report on Men’s Mental Health in London and a huge amount of new research and discussions – including from King’s College London.
- Lots of fundraisers for men and boys’ charities.
- ITV’s Loose Men was a blast once again.
- Key sector wide events such as Men’s Sheds of the Year Awards and the Association of Male Health and Wellbeing’s Men and Boys awards
- West Dunbartonshire Council lit up their council buildings!
- And of course, the public too with heartfelt messages to the men and boys in their lives.
