Thank you for a brilliant International Men’s Day 2018! – over 200 organisations and events

Thank you everyone for your support on International Men’s Day in the UK. We estimate that there were about 200 organisations and events who contributed to the Day – raising funds for charities, raising awareness of issues affecting the well being of men and boys and celebrating the positive contribution men and boys make.

The #internationalmensday dominated Twitter in the UK, there were plenty of media articles (interesting to note – that the BBC were the only media outlet with little coverage)  and a whole host of events (see the main events page but also this list).

As ever, the best tweets are those from mothers, wives, partners, sisters and daughters saying how great the men and boys are in their life.

“I am so fortunate to have so many wonderful men in my life ❤️ I am so grateful for all the love and happiness my fiancé, dad, papa and brother bring to my life. They all give me so much support and I treasure each moment we have together” Danielle Howden, Scotland
